Further adventures of coconuts

The coconuts are coming along nicely. I drilled holes in the halves that didn't already have them and painted them brown. There are some nice striations and contrasts in the paint that came about naturally. They need a coat of paint on the inside and some jute string, and they will be ready for their debut. We've recruited two more friends for our merry band of clip cloppers, so this should be alot of fun! Hi ho Silver, away!

Bliss

Sleeping in on a rainy weekend morning is one of the best things in the world. Especially when you have a box of Fruit Loops next to the bed to fight off hunger pangs so you can stay in bed even longer. Ahhh, bliss!

Coconuts

I am going to a costume party on April Fool's Day that is partially inspired by Monty Python. I had the great idea of everyone in our group of friends having a pair of coconut halves on strings on their belts so that whenever we moved en masse, we click them together like the brilliant lads in the Holy Grail. Everybody thought it was a great idea, but nobody seemed inclined to actually do anything about it. I went in search of coconut bikini tops because they are half circles, dried and already have holes in them. There must have been a rush on them in town, because I only found one anywhere and it was $8! That was obviously too much for a joke, so I looked online. I found some cheaper ones but wasn't sure I could ship them here in time or that my friends would actually reimburse me. At a party store, I found these coconut shaped plastic containers that, with a little paint, will be perfect! When I emailed my friends to be sure they would pay me back, one of them suggested that we get real coconuts and eat them - cheaper and more fun, she says. Now I have watched Survivor many times and I know how hard it is to get a coconut open, much less cut it precisely in half. So I told her if she wanted to get a machete, cut six coconuts in half, clean them out and dry them, all by next Friday, she was welcome to try. As for myself, I am going to drill a little hole in my plastic coconut, paint it brown and call it good! Clip clop, clip clop, clip clop...........

Technical "support"

I just bought a digital camera that was supposed to be easy to use. Just load up this CD and plug the thing and you're good to go. I'm the first to admit that I'm a computer retard, but it sounded simple enough. I should have known better. Everything seemed to be fine, but the computer couldn't find the camera. I asked all my computer friends and they couldn't figure it out. I called technical "support" and the idiot reading the script didnt' have a clue and only told me to do what I, computer retard that I am, had already tried. A day later, the "senior" technician called to say that of course it wasn't working, because you can't load the driver onto Windows XP or there will be an error. Everyone with XP apparently has this problem because they are too stupid or lazy to put this information into the manual, the troubleshooting guide or tell their lame customer service representatives!!!

Here we go

I've only been reading blogs for two days and here I've got my own. I have no idea what I will say, but I'll give it a shot. If it ends up being boring, it's all Chicken's fault!!!
